This is the first quilt block on the Timberland Quilt Trail.  It is located in downtown Mio, Michigan on the Chamber of Commerce building.  The building is 100 years old this year.

Our second block is a Circling Swallows block.  Susan’s great-grandmother made a hand-pieced quilt using this pattern.  She admired it and so her mother made a quilt for her using this pattern.  Susan’s grandmother hand quilted it and Susan bound it.  Truly a multi-generation quilt!

The third block is this lovely Ohio Star on the Esch farm.  The barn was build in 1947.  It was put up with an old fashioned bard raising with many men and was build in a day.
